📋 General​

What is Messenger Organizer?​

Messenger Organizer is a Chrome extension that adds CRM-style organization (folders, notes, tags, templates, scheduled messages, and a visual pipeline) to Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, and Skool community messages.

How much does it cost?​

  • Free trial: 14-day free trial with full features.
  • Monthly plan: paid subscription after the trial.
  • No long-term contracts: cancel anytime from your account page.

Is it safe to use?​

Yes. Messenger Organizer is read-only on your actual chat content:

  • No message storage — we don't keep copies of your DMs.
  • Local processing — message text is read on your machine only.
  • Encrypted sync — folders, notes, and tags travel encrypted between Chrome and our servers.

Are updates free?​

Yes. New features and improvements are always included in your active subscription at no extra cost.

🚀 Installation & setup​

How do I install it?​

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store listing.
  2. Click Add to Chrome.
  3. Register at messengerorganizer.com.
  4. Reload any open Facebook, Instagram, or Skool tab.
  5. Click the extension icon to log in and finish setup.

Why do I have to register an account?​

The account is what lets your folders, notes, and tags sync across devices, persist after a reinstall, and (on team plans) be shared with your VA or partners.

The extension isn't working after installation. What now?​

  1. Reload the Messenger / Instagram / Skool tab — the extension only attaches when the page loads.
  2. Make sure you're logged in to Messenger Organizer (click the toolbar icon).
  3. Hard refresh with Ctrl+F5 / Cmd+Shift+R.
  4. Still stuck? Email landon@messengerorganizer.com.

Which browsers are supported?​

Currently:

  • ✅ Google Chrome — full support.
  • ❌ Firefox, Safari, and Edge — not supported.

📁 Folders, notes & tags​

How many folders can I create?​

Unlimited.

Can a conversation be in multiple folders?​

A lead has one primary folder (their pipeline stage) and multiple "other folders" for cross-listing. Tags work on top of folders for finer segmentation.

How do I move conversations between folders?​

  • Inside Messenger / Instagram / Skool: use the folder dropdown in the Messenger Organizer overlay attached to the chat.
  • In the dashboard: change the folder dropdown on a row in the CRM table.
  • On the Leads board: drag a card between columns.

Can I rename or delete folders?​

Yes. Renaming updates everywhere instantly. If you delete a folder, the leads inside are moved to the default Uncategorized folder so nothing is lost.

What's the difference between a folder and a tag?​

  • Folder = pipeline stage (one per lead, e.g. "Hot Leads").
  • Tag = attribute (multiple per lead, e.g. #VIP, #OwnsAGym).

📨 Schedule Messages & broadcasts​

Can I send the same message to a whole folder?​

Yes — Schedule Messages for Facebook, IG Schedule Messages for Instagram, and Skool Schedule Messages for Skool. All three work the same way: pick a folder, pick a template (or several), pick a sending interval, and launch.

Will Facebook / Instagram / Skool flag my account?​

Messenger Organizer ships safe defaults specifically to keep your account healthy: a recommended ~6-minute interval between messages, an automatic pause every 50 messages, and the ability to rotate between several templates so messages look natural. Stay close to the defaults — especially on Instagram, which is the most sensitive of the three.

Do I have to keep my browser open?​

Yes. Messenger Organizer needs Chrome open and logged in to send the messages on your behalf. If you close the browser, the campaign pauses until you reopen it.

A campaign looks stuck — what do I do?​

Click the Repair button on the Schedule Messages page. It safely restarts the extension's background worker. Reopen the page after it finishes.

🔄 Sync & data​

Does Messenger Organizer sync across devices?​

Yes. Folders, notes, tags, templates, and pipeline data sync automatically. When you log in on a new device, click the extension icon → Sync Leads Data From Cloud to pull everything down.

What happens if I uninstall the extension?​

Your data is stored in your account. Reinstall, log in, and everything comes back.

Do you store my actual messages?​

No. We store:

  • Folder structure
  • Notes you add
  • Tags you create
  • Lead profile info (name, profile link, profile picture URL)
  • Templates and campaigns you create
  • Account info

We don't store the contents of your DMs.

Can I export my data?​

Yes — from the Quick View popup (toolbar icon) you can Download JSON to back up everything, or use Export to CSV / Push to Google Sheets from the CRM tabs.

💰 Billing & account​

How do I cancel?​

  1. Log into your account at messengerorganizer.com.
  2. Open Account Settings.
  3. Click Cancel Subscription.

What happens when my trial ends?​

You're prompted to pick a paid plan. Your folders, notes, and tags are preserved either way.

Refunds?​

🛠️ Troubleshooting​

The extension is slow​

  1. Refresh the tab (Ctrl+F5).
  2. Clear browser cache.
  3. Restart Chrome.
  4. If only one feature is slow, screenshot it and email support.

I don't see my folders​

  1. Check you're signed into Messenger Organizer (click the toolbar icon).
  2. Confirm you're on facebook.com/messages, instagram.com, or skool.com.
  3. Refresh the tab.

My data isn't syncing across devices​

  1. Make sure both devices are logged into the same Messenger Organizer account.
  2. From the new device's Quick View popup, click Sync Leads Data From Cloud.
  3. Email support if it still doesn't appear.

The extension keeps asking for permissions​

Grant all requested permissions. If it loops:

  1. Open chrome://extensions/.
  2. Toggle Messenger Organizer off and back on.
  3. Reload your Facebook / Instagram / Skool tabs.

Which platforms does Messenger Organizer work on?​

Does it work on mobile?​

No. Messenger Organizer is a Chrome desktop extension. Mobile is not currently supported.

Can I use it with Facebook Groups?​

Yes. The Groups Organizer approves and tags new members, and the Group Tagging overlay lets you assign members to CRM folders right from the group page.

Can I use it with Skool?​

Yes — there's a dedicated Skool CRM, Skool Schedule Messages, and a tagging overlay that adds a + button to every Skool member.

🔒 Privacy​

Can you see my messages?​

No. We can see folder structure, notes you write, tags you create, and basic lead profile info — never the content of your DMs.

Do you share my data?​

No. Your data is used only to power the Messenger Organizer service.

How is my data protected?​

Encrypted connections, encrypted sync, no message storage, and strict data handling on our servers.
