Installation Issues
If you just installed Messenger Organizer and something isn't working, these are the most common fixes — in the order to try them.
"I installed the extension but I don't see anything new on Facebook / Instagram / Skool"
Most common cause: you didn't reload the open tabs after installing.
Fix:
- Close every Facebook, Instagram, and Skool tab you have open.
- Reopen them.
- The Messenger Organizer overlay should now appear.
If that doesn't work:
- Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar — confirm Messenger Organizer is listed.
- Pin it to the toolbar so the icon is always visible.
"I can't find the extension icon"
Fix:
- Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar (top right).
- Find Messenger Organizer in the list.
- Click the pin icon next to it. It now stays in the toolbar permanently.
"The extension installed but won't let me log in"
Most common cause: you haven't created an account yet.
Fix:
- Go to messengerorganizer.com.
- Click Start Your FREE 14-Day Trial.
- Complete the signup with the same email you'll use in the extension.
- Open the extension popup again and log in with those credentials.
"Account registration failed"
- ✅ Use a real email address (the system sends a verification email).
- ✅ Check your spam folder for the verification email.
- ✅ Try a different email if your primary one is rejected.
- ✅ Email landon@messengerorganizer.com if it still fails.
"Chrome keeps asking for permissions repeatedly"
Fix:
- Go to
chrome://extensions/. - Find Messenger Organizer.
- Click Details.
- Make sure all permissions are granted (Storage, Notifications, Identity, Clipboard).
- If the loop continues, toggle the extension off and back on.
- If it still loops, uninstall and reinstall from the Chrome Web Store.
"It worked yesterday, doesn't work today"
Usually a Chrome update or a Facebook UI change.
Fix:
- Update Chrome to the latest version (
chrome://settings/help). - Reload your tabs.
- If only one feature is broken, screenshot it and email support — Facebook/Instagram changes their UI weekly and we ship fixes fast.
"Which browsers does it work on?"
- ✅ Google Chrome — full support.
- ❌ Firefox, Safari, Edge — not supported.
If you're on Edge or Brave, install Chrome and use it there.
